KEY PERSONNEL

TEG has an abundance of trained professionals within the system, including Ph.D.'s in chemistry, registered geologists, certified water drillers, certified geophysicists, and numerous chemists, geologists, and engineers.

At each location, all aspects are under the supervision of a director.  In most locations, this director is also the primary owner of the TEG location.  This person is responsible for the over site of all aspects of laboratory operations, analytical methods, technical development, and reported data.  A brief description of all the directors of each location follows:

TEG - MID-AMERICA

Hermon Atkinson, B.S.

Wesley A. Robb, B.S.

Hermon Atkinson entered the environmental field in 1988, and since has worked for S-Cubed, ATI, and TEG.  While at ATI and for TEG, Mr. Atkinson has gained extensive experience operating various wet chemistry methods, GC, FT-IR and IR in the performance of Cal EPA Mod. 8015, EPA 8020, EPA 8010 and EPA 418.1.  For TEG, Mr. Atkinson started as a field mobile laboratory chemist performing the above analyses, on soil, water, and soil vapor matrices and left as Senior Chemist on staff.  As Senior Chemist, he reviewed data submittals from staff and resolved customer questions and requests.  Mr. Atkinson has 8 years environmental laboratory experience in total, 3 plus of which are in field mobile laboratory work.

Mr. Atkinson attained a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California at San Diego, and has 40 hour OSHA Health and Safety Training and Refresher.

Wesley A. Robb began working in the environmental laboratory field in 1988, and since has worked for ATI and TEG.  While at ATI and for TEG, Mr. Robb has gained experience with GC, FT-IR, IR and wet chemistry methodologies.  Analyses performed include, Cal EPA Mod. 8015, EPA 8020, EPA 8010, Herbicides, Phenols and EPA 418.1.  Prior to leaving ATI, Mr. Robb held the position of Senior Chemist and Fuels Group Leader.  In that capacity, he produced and reviewed data and resolved client questions.  This data review included CLP protocol and NEESA, level D and C packages.  Mr. Robb has 8 years environmental laboratory experience in total, 3 years of which are in field mobile laboratory work.

Mr. Robb holds a B.S. in Chemistry with emphasis in Biochemistry from San Diego State University, and has 40 hour OSHA Health and Safety Training and Refresher.

TEG - NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

Mark Jerpbak, M.S., R.G.

Mr. Jerpbak has over 15 years of experience in geochemistry, including 5 years as the owner and director of TEG-Sacramento.  Mr. Jerpbak has worked with several companies and agencies in geology and geochemistry in the United States and overseas, including:  Ascension Island, Papua New Guinea and Japan.  His work has included gas chromatography in the petroleum industry, gas and vapor analyses and wet chemical titration in the geothermal industry, injection tests in active geothermal areas, and gas chromatography by EPA methods in the environmental industry.  He has worked extensively in the field and in the mobile laboratory environment.

Mr. Jerpbak holds a M.S. degree from the University of Iowa in geology and geophysics.  He is a California State Registered Geologist and also consults for the Yolo County Department of Public Health and Environmental Services in California.
